NXTGEN are working with a recognised and multiple office Chartered Accountants based in Norwich to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This is a fantastic role for anyone looking for a diverse role working within their own finance team supporting the FinancialController with the delivery of monthly management Accounts, ensuring integrity of ledgers as well as preparing VAT returns. As Assistant Accountant, you will work as part of a dedicated and supportive team, who is looking for a varied and all around role.This role will also see the Assistant Accountant support with reconciliations, supplier payment runs and raising monthly sales invoices. This is a brilliant opportunity for anyone looking for one to one support from a Financial Controller as well as keento progress to Finance Manager level within a short period of time.Key responsibilities will include: - Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts - Ensuring the integrity of the Sales & Purchase Ledger- Support and complete Vat returns when needed- Reconcile the balance sheet- Supplier Payment runs- Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc requests when neededThe successful candidate will ideally be AAT qualified or studying towards their ACCA/ACA qualification or equivalent. Prior experience gained within another Accountancy firm is desirable but in no means essential, however experience working within a broadFinance role is essential to be successful. Candidates will need to demonstrate good Excel skills as well as excellent communication skills.
