Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment company working with our client, who are one of the UK`s largest specialist online/retailer wholesalers, based in Norwich, providing an industry leading service to theircustomers needs.Job Role: Accounts Assistant Contract: Full-time – Fixed term 12 month (maternity cover) - 40hr wk, our client is fairly flexible with start and end times, each day. Location: Norwich, NR2Salary Circ £23`000 - £25`000 per annum.Responsibilities of the role include:The role provides vital support to the management accounts team. This requires an enthusiastic person with some knowledge of the core functions of a busy finance team and the fundamentals of accounting. It also requires someone who possesses the ability tobuild good working relationships with people both within and outside the business.Management accounts activities:• Performing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts; • Reconciling payments received in the bank to amounts recorded in the sales order system; • Preparing supporting schedules and information to support balances for the management accounts;• Maintaining a fixed asset register; • Preparing and distributing reports for managers, such as a daily sales report;• Ad-hoc reporting Essential Competencies:• Ability to develop and maintain good professional relationships within the business and with customers;• Good standard of written and spoken English;• Ability and desire to develop better understanding of systems like Excel;• At least a basic understanding of core accountancy concepts, acquired through formal training or experience;• Ability to work in a team; and• Methodical and accurate approach to work.Skills and experience:•Ideally AAT level 3 qualified• Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word; and• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
