Job Description

Osiris IT is an established IT Managed Service Provider. Our flexible, reliable, and pro-active service ensures our customers IT runs smoothly. We are dedicated to our staff offering our staff leaning and progression opportunities and are very involved insupporting charitable causes.Job briefWe are currently recruiting for a first/second-line IT Engineer to expand our growing helpdesk team. The role of the IT Engineer is to support our existing and new customers IT requirements and work closely with our third-line engineers on higher levelproblems. You will be working across our entire client base which covers charitable, business, and educational sectors.Key Responsibilities of the job role:

  • Answer incoming issues via phone and our online ticketing system.
  • Carry out client site visits where required across the county
  • Maintain Company knowledge base
  • Escalation of IT issues when required
  • Install, support and maintain hardware & software
  • Liaise with clients, 3rd parties and suppliers
  • Working as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction is met
You will also get the chance to be involved in big client projects with our solutions team.You will be part of a small but very driven team, you all work together to continue maintain the high levels of customer service our clients have come to expect. You will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am - 5pm.We offer in return a relaxed and supportive environment with unique challenges that will develop your core knowledge and give you skills.Essential Skills and Characteristics
  • At least 2 years within an IT Support environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Highly enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to pass vetting (which will include a Disclosure Baring Service Check to Enhanced Level)
  • Able to form and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, service users and third parties.
  • Ability to multitask and deal with a range of incoming enquires - organisation is key to the success of this role.
  • Have a full UK Driving license
Desirable skills and characteristics
  • At least a level 3 IT qualification
  • 3 x GCSE (or equivalent) at grades A-C/7-4 in any subject, plus GCSE English and maths (or equivalents) at grade C or above
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace
  • Working knowledge of Apple devices
  • Working knowledge of Wireless Networking, Security, Routers, Firewalls and Managed Switches.
  • Working knowledge of Terminal Server, Exchange, SQL, Microsoft Server 2016, 2019 and 2022, Windows 10 and 11 Networking as well as Microsoft Office 365.

  • ITIL V4 Foundation
  • Industry-recognised certifications
