Job Description

X4 Technology are on the lookout for enthusiastic Power Electronics Engineers with experience working within the automotive industry. Does this apply to youThe Power Electronics Engineer company and culture:The company are a highly successful and well renowned international automotive company who are looking to bring a new Power Electronics Engineer onto an expanding team based on their site in Northumberland, the North East of England. The team currently comprises of around 20 cross functional engineers including Hardware, Mechanical and Power electronics Engineers. The company boasts a competitive bonus package and are a highly ethical company to work for with a constant drive to better the performance efficiency and emissions of their automotive products.Power Electronics Engineer role requirements:

  • You will be an enthusiastic team player who is willing to collaborate closely with colleagues and has excellent communication skills to do so
  • You will have a relevant (Electronics or Electrical) Degree or alternative higher level qualification
  • You will have a minimum of 3 years of Power Electronics industry experience
  • You will have experience designing DC-DC converters
  • Power Electronics Engineer desirable skills:
  • Knowledge of a broad range of isolated and non-isolated topologies, including magnetics (inductors, transformers) design
  • Experience with the qualification of systems to automotive standards, including EMC and environmental testing
  • Some experience in the simulation of circuits and systems and mathematical modelling
  • Power Electronics Engineer application process:Interviews are taking place before Christmas as soon as 2/12/20.
