Job Description

Calling all Reach forklift drivers! (dont worry if your Reach is expired, theyll renew it)If your looking to hit the ground running and join a company who are straight down line, do as they promise as well as financilly encourage their staff then we could have the job for you.A very longstanding client of ours are looking for a Reach Forklift Driver/Delivery Driver to join their business.Youll have a nice mix of being out on the road as well as feel part of a team when your in the warehouse.Mon - Fri -7.00 - 16.30 or 8.00 - 17.301 Saturday a month 09.00-17.30 (A day off in the week)Must have held a Full UK Driving License for a minimum of 2 years with up to 3 points, for insurance reasons must be over 21Experience of delivery driving and Reach (with license) is essentialYour role is to assist the Warehouse Manager with the following tasks:

  • Deliver excellent customer service that exceeds all customers expectations.
  • Comprehensive product knowledge (Enabling alternatives to be suggested to customers and expert advice given)
  • To provide occasional cover delivering goods to customers mainly in a transit size vehicle at times when the regular driver is absent. There will be no overnight stays and deliveries will be mainly in the South and up to the Midlands. For insurance purposes,no more than 3 points on driving license.
  • Take in deliveries by way of handballing and Reach forklift, following the Company processes at all times.
  • Pass all completed delivery notes onto the Customer Service team
  • Arrange return of incorrectly delivered or damaged doors, complete a "Returns" note and inform supplier
  • Prepare and check outgoing deliveries ready for the following day
  • All racks to be labelled on base doors in luminous card with all racked doors to be coded on end
  • Keep the Sold Pile and corresponding paperwork in order
  • Keep warehouse, yard and damaged door area clean and tidy
  • Solve all warehouse related problems i.e. roller shutter, forklifts, lights etc.
  • Ensure that all customers are dealt with efficiently, courteously and as promptly as possible
  • Deal with customer complaints/enquiries and follow them through to a satisfactory conclusion
  • Keep paperwork precise and clear so that tasks may be followed by colleagues
  • Ensure all promises made to customers are realistic, achievable and are completed
  • Ensure that all Company systems and procedures are followed at all times
  • Keep a tidy, safe working environment following all Health and Safety procedures
  • Prepare and assist with biannual stock checks adhering to Company procedure
  • Supplied company uniform to be worn at all times and kept neat, clean and presentable
  • Assist with the training and development of all new recruits
  • Wherever possible, identify improvements to processes to enhance customer service, reduce costs, improve margin etc.
  • Report any Health and Safety issues to your Line Manager
  • Take on any reasonable ad hoc duties to ensure the smooth running of The Company
