Job Description

A multinational building materials manufacturer and supplier are currently in search for a Shift Foreman for their plant in Northfleet.You will be on shift work, 06.00-14.00 and 14.00-22.00 alternating weekly, responsible for team of 8 people.Role/Responsibilities:

  • Always comply with Health & Safety rules and procedures in accordance with Company Health & Safety Policy and site-specific rules and actively promote safe working.
  • Support the management team in building and promoting a positive Health and Safety Culture within the site, strive for zero accidents.
  • To help ensure that the factory operates as efficiently & effectively as possible in order to improve performance & reduce waste.
  • Operation of production line equipment.
  • Setting up and casting of Blocks and Pavers following the quality plan.
  • Ensure equipment you use to perform your role is maintained and cleaned to a high standard
  • To complete all relevant documentation as required ensuring compliance with quality systems.
  • To be proactive and flexible in aiding with operational requirements.
  • Embrace training and development to enable multi skilled working
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Forklift counterbalances license an advantage
  • Ideally to have previously worked within a manufacturing facility in a manual role.
  • Understanding and use of Work safes, IPTs & NMHA Cards is desired.
