Job Description

EXPERIENCED PART-TIME COOK REQUIRED FOR HNW FAMILY HOME IN ST JOHN’S WOODLocation: St John’s Wood, LondonContract: Permanent, Part-timeSalary: £30 per hour (employed or self-employed)Status: Live-outWe are working with lovely high-net-worth family to source an experienced and hardworking part-time Cook for their family home in St John’s Wood to work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. You will be exceptionally organised and work in a fast and efficientmanner, ensuring that high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are adhered to at all times.The family enjoy a healthy, varied and where possible organic diet, and especially enjoy Indian cuisine. They predominantly have chicken and fish, but will on occasion also have pork, beef and lamb. Duties will include preparation of breakfast for the familyof five, as well as preparing 2 x packed lunches daily. You will also prep dinner for the three days, and on Thursdays prepare a few fridge fill meals that the family can use over the weekend.Working hours are from 7am-12pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and ideally the Cook would be flexible to accommodate some ad-hoc Sunday hours as well. The family are open to self-employed candidates, as well as candidates who prefer to be on payroll.DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • Menu planning in line with the principals’ preferences
  • Daily preparation of breakfast and packed lunches
  • Preparing dinner for the family to heat up
  • Preparing child-friendly meals
  • Preparing and storing meals for weekend use
  • Sourcing high quality ingredients
  • Maintaining hygiene standards to the highest level; cleaning the kitchen
  • Food quality control
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
  • Prior experience as a Cook working for high-net-worth clients
  • Ability to prepare delicious, varied, and healthy meals
  • Experience of cooking Indian cuisine
  • Good time management skills
  • Strict on hygiene procedures
  • Highly organised, motivated, and proactive
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet
  • Excellent checkable references
