As a result, they are winners of various awards.THE ROLEYou will be carrying out duties as a warehouse assistant reporting direct to the Supply Chain Manager and Warehouse Supervisor. The Utility/Warehouse Assistant role works as part of the Supply Chain Team and interacts with the UK Production, Quality, Shippingand Engineering teams to support the successful fulfilment and on-time delivery of customer orders. Your duties in the role is key to the business increasing its efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.Some of your tasks and duties will include:
  • Supporting the Supply Chain Department and Operations
  • You will have no direct reports but a lot of interaction with the workforce
  • Adhering to clearly laid out guidelines and following standard operating procedures
  • You will have relevant experience working within a warehousing team, demonstrating good interpersonal and excellent communication skills
  • You are a good problem solver, able to establish facts and propose valid conclusions
  • You can display good organisational and planning skills through using your own initiative; be a hard worker with a good attitude and discipline
  • You can work individually and in a team with strong time management skills, demonstrating the ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • You have the ability to collaborate with other departments including sales, production, quality & finance
  • You must hold an in-date Counterbalance Fork Truck licence with minimum 6-month experience
THE PERSONThe business is looking for someone with a strong work ethic, matched with the willingness and desire to learn. However, if you have the following skills and experience it would help your application:
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment could be advantageous
  • You can demonstrate reliability, punctuality, self-motivation and good team work
  • Adaptable to a continental shift pattern
  • You have high energy, enthusiasm and motivation especially when working to deadlines and be completion orientated
  • You can demonstrate very high work standards
  • You will have a good combination of verbal/written communication, along with good planning, organisation and good presentation skills
  • You have a hands-on attitude and can gets things done through your team & other departments
  • You have good problem-solving skills, can be tenacious when necessary and show attention to detail
  • You are IT literate and comfortable using MS Office applications such as Excel and Power Point
