THE BUSINESSWestray Recruitment Group is seeking a Warehouse Operative for our client based in North Tyneside. The client is a global organisation who are a Gold Standard Investors in People Employer. The business has a vibrant and supportive culture. They are currently growing by acquisition. The working conditions are also highly favourable as they are bright, clean and you will work with the radio playing in the background.Most of all, this employer has an empowering culture and although you will be fully trained in your operation, you will be entrusted to perform your role with limited supervisor involvement.THE ROLE
  • The role is going to be majority Warehouse based with a few FLT duties
90%/10% Split
  • Book in new stock and allocate to correct location using the warehouse systems
  • Ensure all stock is allocated to the correct location
  • Annotate and check relevant inventory with the correct information
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping within all warehouse locations at both the client and customers sites
  • Follow company processes and procedures at all times keeping in line with current Health & Safety policies
  • Assist the Warehouse manager with maintenance of all warehouse areas and report damage/accidents
THE PERSON
  • FLT Experience (Reach Truck)
  • Experience of working in a Warehouse environment.
  • Good communication skills between departments
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • IT proficient to record and document inventory
  • Reliability and punctuality are a must
  • Candidates must ultimately be seeking a permanent long-term role
THE PACKAGE This is a temp to perm role and will transfer to a permanent contract following a successful probation period.
