Job Description

Our client is a large, worldwide, FMCG manufacturer who are leaders in their field with a plant in North Walsham and 24 sites internationally.With a site turnover in the region of £10 million pounds per annum they manufacture using the latest, technology and have a forward thinking, dedicated team of skilled people working in the business, making it a highly successful organisation.The company is currently undergoing a considerable period of growth and as a result is adding some exciting positions within the company.A new role has been created for a Tool Room Team Leader who will be responsible for the management of the tool room to ensure the effective utilization of resources to ensure the business continually meets & exceeds customer expectations.You will be responsible for the following day to day:

  • Ensure team follows Health and Safety procedures and rules including safety alerts and correct use of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Tool Room to plan (quality, cost, delivery) to meet department strategy
  • Drive Operational Excellence development within the team to ensure effective problem solving tools are utilised.
  • Achieve business and departmental objectives by best use of resources hour by hour.
  • Manage Asset Care to scheduled plan.
  • Identification of all forms of waste reduction.
  • Manage team performance management, disciplinary, resource and incident issues.
  • Prepare information for daily review and other relevant meetings.
  • Liaison with other functions e.g. planning, sales, accounts, asset care, production, logistics and HR.
    • We are ideally looking for an experienced Toolroom Manager or Production Team leader who is a time served mechanical engineer who has experience with the above duties.Salary to suit experience, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension. Required skills
