Job Description

Stores Supervisor required for a family run engineering business near North Walsham on a full time, permanent basis. The business have some exciting plans for the future and as such, require an experienced Storeman with proven Team Leadership skills to support with this.This is a hands on role, and as such you will be responsible for managing the entire Stock Control process for the production facility alongside supervising a small team and supporting with the development of a new MRP system.Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Managing the production kitting process
  • Supervising and setting targets for the team
  • Ensure the stores are kept in order
  • Ensuring stock figures are accurate and updated
  • Using a fork lift truck
  • In order for your application to be considered, you will need:
  • Proven Warehouse or Stores background
  • Experience working in either Manufacturing, Engineering or Production business
  • A background in stores, material handling and/or goods in
  • Knowledge of Inventory Control Systems
  • Good supervisory experience, able to manage a small team
  • Hands on and physically fit (ie: able to undertake manual handling duties on a day-to-day basis)
  • The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience working in parts/after-sales
  • Good organisation skills
  • Flexibility in job role and be a strong team player
  • Good telephone manner - comfortable dealing with customers
  • Physically fit, able to undertake manual handling duties on a daily basis
  • Strive to achieve 100% inventory accuracy
