Job Description

A family run Engineering business near North Walsham are looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take over from someone who is soon retiring. This Mechanical Engineer position is a crucial role in the team and one that will see you involvedin the manufacture, fabrication and production of specialist agricultural machinery.In order for your application to the Mechanical Engineer position to be considered, youll need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and/or experience working on Hydraulics and/or Pneumatic systems.
  • Hands on, practical Mechanical Engineering skills, preferably on motors, engines or agricultural machinery.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and ability to read schematics.
  • Good faultfinding and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Suitable candidates for the Mechanical Engineer position will have had previous experience as either a Service Engineer or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, and ideally will have worked on Agricultural machinery (such a Combines, Tractors, Sprayers etc) althoughthis isnt essential.As the Mechanical Engineer, youll work Mon to Fri (Days) with an early finish on Friday.
