My client is an environmentally responsible manufacturer that specialises in a range of moulded packaging including caps, bottles, coffee pods and others and works with a number of high profile clients across a diverse range of sectors including food, personal care, horticultural, household and medicinal / veterinary. They are an injection moulding and blow moulding company that have experienced continual growth and due to this success are now seeking an additional Injection Moulding Setter to join their busy production team.This is a very exciting time to join the team as they are busy developing new materials and processes to meet the challenges of manufacturing in recycled, biodegradable and compostable materials.As an Injection Moulding Setter you will set up & run the production line, with a primary focus on the efficient running of moulds & injection moulding machines. You will ensure that you meet health & safety, quality and production standards & targets. Alongside this, you will carry out operational tasks associated with manufacturing, maintaining machinery, packaging and inspection of products.In addition to to this you will also be involved in the following...- Tooling / Injection Mould installation and setup- Process Optimisation & Fault Finding- Quality Inspection & Testing- Setup of ancillary equipment- Routine machine MaintenanceThe ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills and experience...- Training and experience in Injection Mould Setting- Strong technical & trouble shooting skills- Have a logical and Methodical approach to your work.- Be a team player with good communication skillsYou will ideally have formal training in injection moulding such as a Polymer Training Innovation Course or similar at Level 3 or above, and substantive experience working within an injection mould shop preferably in the area of thin-walled packaging.It would be desirable if you also had experience of other processes such as Extrusion Blow Moulding, Injection Blow Moulding and PET Stretch Blow Moulding, however there is the opportunity to cross train in these processes.This is a full time, permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday on rotating shifts of 10-2, 2-10, 6-2 however this may change dependant on the requirements of the business.
