We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate nurses with an interest in providing exceptional care to patients on our surgical ward. We have 31 beds comprising of elective and emergency surgery.Our surgical specialities include Breast surgery & plastics, minor colorectal procedures and upper GI, Gynaecological procedures and weight loss surgery.We are able to offer nurses considerable opportunities that come with our highly skilled nursing team and support you to learn and achieve competency with a variety of extended nursing skills including central venous access devices, advanced wound care/techniques, enteral and Total parental nutritional therapy and PCA’sWe work very closely with excellent teams of Clinical Nurse Specialists from the Acute Pain Service, Colorectal, Urology, Stoma Nurses and Nutrition Team that provide support and expertise to all staff members to ensure we always provide and maintain the highest standards of care for our patients and education for our staff.Whether you are an experienced Registered Nurse or about to embark on your nursing career, we would welcome your application. We offer 2 weeks supernumerary, ongoing mentoring and regular reviews. We have a 6 months comprehensive preceptorship program inclusive of essential clinical skills and non-clinical criteria.
