Job Description

Job Title: Year 5 TeacherStart Date: January 2024 – August 2024Contract: Full Time/Long TermLocation: Newcastle upon Tyne NE30Pay scale: £28,000 - £43,685 p.a.Commutable Areas: Jarrow, Cramlington, Gateshead and SunderlandResponsibilities:

  • Planning, teaching, and assessing a class of Year 4 children.
  • Working collaboratively alongside the classroom support staff.
  • Attending any CPD where required.
  • Having strong classroom management skills, efficiently and effectively follow the schools behavior plan and maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
  • Communicate with parents, carers, and outside agencies.
  • Mark work as seen necessary.
  • Follow the schools safeguarding policy.
Requirements:
  • QTS or equivalent PGCE
  • A DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Recent experience of working in school, whether this be as employment or as part of training.
