Job Description

AK Teaching are currently working in partnership with a fantastic school in North Tyneside. We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with an EYFS nursery learner with SEN.We are hoping to employ a versatile Learning Support Assistants who has experience of working with either school aged learners or adults with a wide range of individual needs, including ASD, PMLD, MLD, Downs Syndrome or LLDD . The role will involve workingon a 1-2-1 or small group basis with several students with additional needs.The successful Learning Support Assistant will be patient, resilient and have a willingness to support the children and help them reach their potential.Hours for this Learning Support Assistant role would be 9-12pm and it would be until the end of the academic year. Applications from anyone with relevant experience working with SEN learners will be considered.The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working within an education or care setting
  • Have experience working with learners with additional needs (preferably involving ASD or ADHD)
  • Be committed to working full time.
  • Have a DBS on the update service or be prepared to apply for one through AK Teaching.
