Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management Limited (NHFML) is a wholly-owned subsidiary business of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust set up to develop and operate healthcare facilities. NHFML manages the entire property estate for the Trust and supports other clients across a range of capital projects and facilities services. NHFML employs over 1,000 staff working across all disciplines of capital development, estates and facilities management.The Trust has an ambitious programme of investment to drive forward its Clinical Strategy and to continue to improve the patient experience. A new £200m 5-year Estate Masterplan has recently been created to provide the vision and focus for new capital development in the portfolio.The Deputy Director (Capital & Commercial) will lead on the delivery of all strategic estates projects under the masterplan managing the process from feasibility stages through to design, construction and mobilisation. The postholder will also take the lead for our Commercial activity, maintaining existing and developing new relationships in line with the strategy to grow the business and diversify our income streams.This is an exciting opportunity to join the Northumbria NHS Foundation Trust group.The successful post holder must be able to role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the Trust.
