Job Description

Established in 2011 Wowcher is now the second largest daily deal site in the UK. Our site brings you unbeatable deals on the best stuff to do, see, visit, eat and buy in a variety of cities in the UK. We target young, affluent females who cant resist the temptation of our WOW factor deals, and focus our marketing spend on adding to our large database. Wowcherland can be found in Islington, London, where most of our fun and fabulous team reside.Purpose of the Travel Content Executive role:Our enthusiastic writers spend the majority of their day creating original, informative and engaging deals to appear on the Wowcher and LivingSocial sites. From a 5* spa escape to a 10-day India cruise, an all-inclusive Greek getaway to break in a Scottish Highlands castle, our Travel Content Executives use their attention to detail and (some might say) one too many puns to market the deal in the best possible way.We work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that is ideal for those who thrive under pressure. Our close-knit team supports each other, and as a Content Executive you will also work closely with the sales and analysts teams to further develop and hone their skills, achieving high standards of accuracy, engagement and output.Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Creating content for deals in own sector across the Wowcher and LivingSocial sites
  • Ensuring each and every deal reads well, is grammatically accurate and factually correct
  • Adhering to our house style guide to create a consistent appearance across sites
  • Completing merchant and live feedback on deals
  • Communicating with Seniors and Heads with any questions, queries or ideas
  • Develop knowledge of the business and other departments (MS and Analysis) with practice
  • Supporting Senior members with admin tasks and content writing when needed
  • Attending training workshops held my Seniors/Heads/Managers
  • Ad hoc writing of marketing and social media content, as well as producing blog posts on trending topics
  • Soft Skills required:
  • Previous writing experience (paid or unpaid) or clear passion for a future in Content
  • Time-keeping skills, attention to details, and fast and efficient working mindset
  • Technical Skills required:
  • Content Management System knowledge
  • Basic Photoshop skills (beneficial, but not essential)
