Job Description

SPANISH TEACHERHARINGEY - JANUARY 2024Prospero Teaching are looking for a Spanish Teacher to join an Ofsted Good, mixed secondary school voted one of the top 15th best comprehensive secondary schools in London. The school is based in Haringey, North London. This is an Inner London school.This Spanish teaching position starts on the 8th January 2024 and is a full-time teaching position.THE SPANISH TEACHER TEACHING JOB:

  • Full-time Spanish teaching job
  • Ideally starting January 2024
  • Teaching Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 and possibly key stage 5
  • English is taught following AQA
  • This is a mainstream, Ofsted Outstanding secondary school
  • You will be joining a department with 11 qualified Modern Foreign languages teachers of varied levels of experience
  • The Spanish department is well resourced
  • Full time (5 days a week) teaching position including planning and marking.
  • Parking is available on site and the school is well served by public transport
ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL SPANISH TEACHER WILL BE
  • Qualified Spanish teacher - UK or Overseas Spanish teacher
  • Ideally hold a teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS preferred) or equivalent.
  • Someone who can manage students of different abilities and differentiate lessons in line with the needs of the students
  • You will be proactive and innovative with the ability to engage students in different ways.
  • Be a team player
CONTRACT DETAILS FOR THE SPANISH TEACHER POSITION:
  • Location - Haringey
  • Position - Full Time Spanish Teacher
  • Type of work -Spanish teaching in a secondary school
  • Start date - January 2024
  • Contract type - temporary with a view to becoming permanent after 12 weeks
  • Duration / Likely Duration - January 2024 - July 2024
  • Full time/part time - Full time 5 days
  • Minimum rate of pay - £942.20 - £1460 per week dependant on your pay scale
TO BE ELIGIBLE THE SPANISH TEACHER MUST HAVE / BE:

  • Lots of energy and enthusiasm
  • The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun
  • Excellent communication skills - the school encourages good communication with parents / carers
