Job Description

Senior UX Designer Quick Summary:

  • We are seeking a talented, highly experienced Senior UX Designer (Mobile/Desktop Apps, Adobe CC) with previous experience in end-to-end product ownership and strongleadership skills to help create a revolutionary new disruptive platform that will transform the car trade industry.

    • The Firm:We are new tech start-up that will make the automotive market more accessible than ever before. Although weve been in stealth mode for the last year, our aim is to develop a market leading digital platform for used vehicles in the UK, transforming how used cars are distributed in a sustainable way.With our majority investors some of the most iconic names in the car industry, were planning to disrupt the used car market by only advertising used cars of high quality. Already counting around 100,000 thousand drivers in our customer base, were planning a move to central London to allow for our rapid expansion, which wed love you to become a part of.The Senior UX Designer role:
  • Creating compelling experiences and interactions for both consumer products and enterprise solutions to drive business results
  • Visualising front-end prototype concepts to varying levels of fidelity to demonstrate and test ideas
  • Conducting user research and provide recommendations in both written and visual format
  • Setting expectations and estimate time and delivery of UX/UI components with an agile mindset
  • Applying appropriate UI design patterns and components to the right product
  • Documenting pattern libraries and style guide
    • Requirements for the Senior UX Designer role:
  • 3+ years experience in designing UX/UI for both desktop and mobile applications
  • Outstanding portfolio of past work that demonstrates strong user-centered approach as well as visual design capabilities across a variety projects
  • In-depth knowledge of visual design theory (e.g., typography, colour theory, composition, iconography, etc.) and analog visual communication skills e.g. sketching
  • Extensive prototyping skills using Adobe CC including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Fireworks, and inVision, Sketch
  • Expert understanding of information architecture, workflows, concept development and interaction design
  • Experience in translating user research and usability test findings into iterative product solutions
  • Experience working in agile and lean environments (ideally marketplace experience)
