CamdenSEND TA - Supporting a year 5 pupil with AutismDo you have a passion for supporting childrens individual needs An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a delightful pupil in Year 5 who has ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). This rewarding positionis based in a welcoming primary school located in the heart of the vibrant borough of Camden.Position: 1:1 Special Needs Teaching AssistantStart Date: January 8thHours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to FridayStatus: Full-TimeKey Responsibilities:Work closely with a Year 5 pupil with ASD on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience.Implement strategies to foster the pupils social and academic development.Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.Support the pupil in participating in classroom activities and building positive peer relationships.Requirements:Genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being.Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Experience:While experience working with children with autism is preferred, it is not essential.
