Job Description

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic intern for 12 months to join our International Marketplace Engineering Team, which is part of Ticketmaster UK. As a QA Intern, you will assist in assuring product quality from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on industry best practices and your collaboration with our market representatives and clients.In this role, you will be able to develop a general understanding of the live events market, the competitive landscape, customer requirements, distribution channels and Ticketmaster’s mobile and web service product offerings.You will be part of our development team and work closely with design, product and operational teams and will expect to gain on the job experience in many aspects of development. You will be expected to find innovative solutions to help deliver our mobile app and consumer platforms.This is a paid, 12-month position. The role is open to placement students (studying as part of their university degree or any other form of qualifications) or recent graduates (Degrees, Master recognised Certification, BTEC, HND, short course)This is a full time (Monday - Friday 10-6) paid internship that will be recruited on a 12 month fixed term contract commencing in September 2020.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Define product specifications using clear and consistent user stories with any acceptance criteria or supporting documentation supplied
  • Work with creative and engineering teams during the development cycle to ensure the product meets customer requirements
  • Verify features and fixes manually, testing our products, updating documentation and creating test data.
  • Analyse test data to evaluate test effectiveness and identifying areas for continuous improvement
  • Participate in root cause analyses
  • Review new functionality to check it meets requirements
  • Testing new features and validate bug fixes
  • WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • Pursuing graduate or postgraduate degree in computing, or business with information systems
  • Great communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Comfort with technical and business concepts through coursework or prior experience
  • Some web development experience for work, study, or personal interest is a plus
  • Ability to quantify business benefits based on measurable outcomes
  • Product research and discovery skills
