Job Description

Our client, a leading provider of apprenticeships, accountancy, tax, finance and banking courses, is looking for an experienced Privacy Analyst to help ensure data compliance across their applications portfolio including student systems, web and internal business systems. You will have experience of working as a privacy analyst as part of multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed client-facing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent GDPR skills, combined with a broad knowledge of data security and compliance processes and standards combined with extensive experience of adding value across the whole privacy and data lifecycle. You should have excellent written, analytical, planning and risk management skills.This is a new role within the client?s IT department.   • Previous experience of managing privacy compliance, including review, validation, guidance and support to control operators in both the business and IT
  • An information security, compliance, paralegal and/or risk background
  • Demonstrable experience of co-ordinating incident responses to privacy issues
  • Undertaking DPIA?s & PIAs for projects triggering changes in the way data is managed
  • Working in a compliance environment with ISO27001, PCI DSS
  • Delivering GDPR capabilities
  • Subject Access Request process, workflow and managing the process with the data subject, DPO and business team(s)
  • Incident management process for issues of data privacy and security and managing the process with the DPO and business team(s)
  • A team player; able to establish and maintain strong professional relationships including those with external suppliers
  • An understanding of data security and management frameworks and protocols and ITIL processes and standards
  • Any of the following experience would be an advantage:
  • Working in environments which have customer contractual commitments regarding data privacy
  • Managing external suppliers regarding compliance
  • ideally some experience of PCI, SOX and ISO27001
  • Delivering and supporting Security Awareness Program
  • Excellent listening, written & oral communications as well as soft skills to discuss, explain, security and compliance policies, processes and deliverables with technical and non technical colleagues of all levels of seniority.
  • Implementing, supporting and maintaining Data Retention and minimisation principles into practical solutions
  • Familiarity with Compliance software e.g. OneTrust
  • Excellent knowledge of GDPR and the privacy lifecycle
  • GDPR training and hands on experience supporting related activities
  • Privacy risk analysis
  • Privacy audits
  • And the following skills: -
