Job Description

Legal Assistant - Children & FamiliesCamden£19 per hourFull Time ContractNovax Recruitment is actively seeking a Legal Assistant within Children and Families. This position is a contract working full time hours.The job:

  • To assist in the provision of a high quality and comprehensive legal service and casework and delivering a client focused service within childcare and family law
  • Drafting of legal documents including applications and statements, and the preparation of bundles for proceedings
  • Providing support to Lawyers in the preparation of relevant legal documents or evidence for court cases in the Magistrates, County and High Courts, and instruct and support Counsel
  • Responsibility for a caseload of contentious and non-contentious matters (appropriate training will be provided
The candidate:
  • Experience of working in a legal or an equivalent environment
  • Knowledge and experience of Child Care Law
  • Experience of preparation and drafting court and other legal documents
