Job Description

The Platform Infrastructure team in Ticketmaster International is responsible for a core part of the Ticketmaster Infrastructure, we manage a large proportion of the infrastructure that all platforms run on. The team is a group of specialized systems engineers with a wide-ranging remit, on-premise Cloud Platform, Local Storage and other systems coming under our scope.THE JOB Our platform and services enable fans access to tickets and events 24 hours a day, seven days a week in Multiple markets. Every large event on-sale is a Black Friday for us. Working at this scale constantly challenges us to find innovative solutions that will provide a richer experience for fans worldwide, in a highly collaborative environment.The successful candidate will help us move forward with our DevOps transformation working ever closer with product engineering teams providing automated, scalable and highly resilient platforms.As part of this you will be helping the company support our continued migration into a hybrid cloud solution as well as enhancing our next generation cloud platforms. Contributing to the improvement of tools from Cloud build out and monitoring to continuous release management enabling engineering teams to work in more of a Self-Service model on our cloud platform. There will also be support requirement of older legacy products that are part of our critical infrastructure.Because our business is online 24/7, you will on occasion be required to work out of hours or provide on-call duty on a rota basis.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Collaborate with product engineering to bring new components and features to production.
  • Work with Engineering and QA teams on application design, capacity planning and performance
  • Automate deployments, tests. Creating infrastructure as code.
  • Design and implement resilient, highly available solutions.
  • Plan, organize and communicate project status.
  • Continuously improve systems, security and drive new standards meeting PCI requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues looking at every level of the technology stack.
  • Infrastructure auditing (looking at current system gaps and maintain a backlog of improvements).
  • WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS)
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, AWS/GCE or similar or on-premise cloud solutions.
  • Able to code in a standard language Python/Go or similar.
  • Have used configuration management systems (Chef, Ansible, Puppet)
  • Have used containerisation to streamline processes.
  • Good understanding of using CI/CD technology with systems like Jenkins, Gitlab
  • Experience and knowledge of configuring / troubleshooting Linux Distributions (RedHat/CentOS/OEL/Fedora CoreOS, Ubuntu)
  • Understanding and Knowledge of network storage
  • Experience working with API`s.
