Job Description

Area Sales Manager - Ceramic TilesJob Title: Regional Sales Manager - Ceramic TilesIndustry Sector: Ceramic Tiles, KBB, Kitchen & Bathroom Retailers and Independent RetailersArea to be covered: London & South EastRemuneration: £30,000-£40,000 + 10-15% BonusBenefits: Fully Expensed Car & BenefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager Ceramic Tiles will involve:

  • Field sales role selling a manufactured range of ceramic tiles
  • Majority of your time account managing circa 40-80 independent bathroom retailers and a small number of importers
  • Predominantly an account management position, smaller amount of new business development
  • A list of potential new customers to target and commercial strategy will be provided
  • Inheriting an area that achieved £250,000 UK sales and £400,000 import sales last year
  • Tasked with growing the area back up to £700,000
  • Opportunity to make a name for yourself as the area has suffered with poor field sales representation recently, although has previously achieved £1m turnover and certainly has the potential to be on our client’s largest areas
  • Accounts will vary in size from £15,000 up to £200,000 turnover
  • Three/ Four days a week on the road meeting customers
  • Overnight stays when required
  • Assisting with merchandising, training, developing and nurturing bathroom retailers
    • The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Ceramic Tiles with:
  • Must have 1-2 years field sales experience
  • Ideally from within the tile or bathroom industry
  • Open to other product backgrounds that have sold into retailer showrooms
  • May also consider a merchandiser looking for first foray into field sales
  • On the up in career, mouldable and looking for a genuine career path
  • Passion for either ceramic tiles, belief in products
  • Resilient personality with genuine sales ability
  • Professional and prepared with strong organisational and territory management skills
