Job Description

35 hours - London Living Wage 10.51The position reporting to senior accounts assistantThe accounts assistant will be responsible for processing high volume invoices, recording transactions and reconciliations and undertaking a wide variety of accounting and administration responsibilitiesDutiesHandling sales invoices on a daily basis, ensuring matching to signed delivery notesReturning all invalid documents as and when necessaryProcessing sales invoices via accounting systemMonitor and review of outstanding invoices with prompt resolution of queriesEnsuring all sales invoices are filed accurately and timelyAnswering customer phone calls and resolving queriesProduce and send statementsReconcile the sales ledger to general ledger on a monthly basisProcess banking and cash receiptsAssist in the preparation of bank reconciliationsDealing with incoming and outgoing postOther Ad Hoc tasks as and when the business requiresSkillsUnderstanding of the workings of an officeGood understanding of Microsoft excel and wordSelf motivated and able to work independentlyExcellent interpersonal skills- to deal with customers and external contactsGood organisational skills and ability to work to and sometimes implement own processesAccounts department background/ knowledge would be desirable Required skills
