Job Description

Are you a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in Pocklington Look no further! Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a talented individual to join a Good school starting in September and lasting until at least December2023, with the potential to continue until the end of the academic year 2024. Payment: Competitive rates in line with the main teaching pay scale (£143 - £225 per day).This is a maternity cover position. The school is conviniently located between Hull and York, making it extremely accessible. It is accessible via public transport, but is more easily access via car. There is a large onsite car park for those candidatesthat do drive. It is part of a small academy trust that is well thought of in the local area.Duties of a Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons, catering to the needs and abilities of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and encourages student participation.
  • Assess student progress through various methods, including examinations, coursework, and practical experiments.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the science curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to foster positive relationships and ensure a supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Specialization in Science, with the ability to teach across different science disciplines.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students in science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and promote positive behavior.
