Job Description

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be working with a major Public Sector Organisation based in East Riding of Yorkshire in the search for an ICT Category Manager with applications welcomed from both Private and Public Sector backgrounds. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will be tasked with leading all ICT Procurement Category Strategies, delivering strategic contract and framework agreements in-line with the set category strategy. You will be expected to develop an in-depth understanding of the ICT category, ensuring compliance to all relevant UK & EU Law (including OJEU) in line with procuring goods and services needed.You will manage the full tender process and lead on all contract reviews across the category, analysing spend and driving for the best price possible, without compromising on quality. You will take ownership of the category and develop long term, lasting relationships across the business with internal and external stakeholders, identifying risk and opportunities for commercial value.Key duties and responsibilities will include: - Develop and lead the long-term Regional Procurement Strategy for specific categories in collaboration with customers, ensuring savings are identified, delivered and reported- Provide reports and advice to Senior Leadership Team based on spend, revenue and department strategies, all in line with EU Procurement Law- Represent the category in Regional and National meetings - influencing where possible- Lead and manage specific, large scale procurements to ensure effective deliveryElevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences: - MCIPS Qualified or working towards- Extensive knowledge of public sector EU procurement legislation- Experience of managing all aspects of Procurement and Category Management against objectives and saving targets- Proven track record of delivering framework agreements in budget and on time- Demonstrated experience of managing and developing staffElevation Procurement & Supply Chain is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment focusing on engineering, operational and technical positions in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
