Job Description

Data EngineerYork - Hybrid Working£50KThis company are hell bent on transforming psychological healthcare in the UK.By utilising state-of-the-art software and a best-in-class data department, they are increasing the accuracy and efficiency of outpatient psychological services in the UK - meaning more and more people have access to the help they need.The duties, in a nutshell, are

  • To assist with the development of their end-to-end cloud data solution (from source through data warehouse, cube and Power BI)
  • Modelling in different domains (from data lake, through normalised enterprise models, to dimensional)
  • Implementing the data pipelines that will manage the reporting and analytical pipelines that enable the company to exploit its data assets
  • Accurate documentation of technical aspects of the data solution
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues
Important aside: we are not looking for someone who has experience with all the technologies listed below. Tooling is not important to us. The most important thing is for you to have a robust understanding of data transformation.Having said that, below is the tech you will be working with:
  • Azure
  • Snowflake
  • Airflow
  • SSAS/DAX
  • Power BI
  • DBT / Airflow
  • SQL (SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres)
  • JIRA, Confluence
  • Azure Data Factory
Other tech youll encounter (albeit a little less often):
  • SSIS
  • C# / Python
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • ElasticSearch/Kibana
  • Masterdata
