Job Description

EAC are currently representing a forward-thinking energy supplier on the recruitment of a Home-based field service engineer. Responsible for UPS maintenance visits, fault call outs and engineering duties nationwide.Completing visits within the required customer SLA deadlines and customer expectations. Ensuring paperwork is completed accurately and submitted immediately. Assisting the sales team with quotes for repairs and parts replacements when required.The role: UPS Engineer On Offer:Salary up £27’000 - £32’000Company van, Mobile, Laptop, Fuel Card28 days annual holidayDuties for the UPS Engineer

  1. UPS service and maintenance at customer premises.
  2. New UPS installation commissioning.
  3. UPS emergency repairs and fault finding.
  4. Battery builds and battery replacements.
  5. Working on single and three phase UPS systems, static inverters, rectifiers and ATS switches.
  6. Configure and setup UPS SNMP and Modbus for connection at customer premises.
  7. Proficient in the use of UPS external bypass switches.
  8. Completing required paperwork accurately and in line with engineering responsibilities daily.
  9. On call rota system 1in4 weeks. Engineers will need to be contactable and available to attend any faults throughout the duration of their on call’ rota 7days/24hours.
  10. Take responsibility for and maintain company tools and equipment, including company vans and electronic devices provided.
  11. Stayaways and extensive travelling as required.
  12. Complete training as required.
The ideal UPS Engineer
  • 3-5 years UPS experience Installation & Maintenance.
  • Experience of three and single-phase UPS systems.
  • A field service engineering background and be computer literate.
  • The role will include PPM Visits, start-up and commissioning, emergency support, new Installations, battery testing, battery builds, decommissions, load testing,Location: Home based - Manchester - Leeds - Sheffield Required skills
