Job Description

The Opportunity:Nigel Wright Recruitment has been retained by Husqvarna to lead the search for a UK Country Manager for its Forest and Garden Division. The UK headquarters is situated in County Durham in North East England and whilst the role will be highly market facing,it would be advantageous for the new hire to be within reasonable travel distance for regular HQ visits, circa 2 days per week. The preference is, therefore, for the new hire to based between the North Midlands and the M8 corridor. Exceptional candidatesfrom outside this area will still be considered.About Husqvarna:The global Group employs over 13,000 staff in over 40 countries and is a world leader in outdoor power products including chainsaws, trimmers, lawn mowers and garden tractors. It is also a European leader in watering products and a world leader in cuttingequipment and diamond tools for the construction and stone industries.Role Profile:

  • Responsible for managing the sales and services operations in the UK including:-Dealer Sales;Customer Support;After Sales Support;Local Marketing.
  • The mission is to drive and develop the industrys tomorrow in the home market and responsible for bringing Husqvarna products and services to the three customer segments; the demanding suburban and urban consumers.
  • Full P&L responsibility and accountability for implementing the regional brand & marketing plan in the UK.
  • The position is responsible for developing and executing the UK business strategy, and actively driving and developing the sales operations and after sales strategies for the country to meet the Company targets regarding growth and profitability.
  • A key objective for the Country Manager is to build, shape and manage the team, the service infrastructure and the business models needed to make a difference for customers.
  • Lead sales execution programs by key customer segments, product mix/pricing execution and cost control.
  • Drive and implement the Husqvarna Strategy to 2025 and beyond including market share development, channel expansion and organistation development. Key tasks will be to assess the capabilities and capacity in the organisation and the current and forthcomingGo to Market strategies.
Person Specification:
  • A degree in economics, marketing, business administration or similar relevant education/experience.
  • Experience within business management or business development within a powerful international brand environment..
  • Experience of full P&L responsibility as well as leading a team and having a proven track record in successfully driving sales and business development in a multichannel environment.
  • English language both orally and written is essential (2nd language is beneficial but not essential).
  • You will be an entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results driven person who enjoys managing people and leading change.
  • Your strategic capabilities are insights driven, and you can create clear business cases to gain buy into your plans to motivate and lead winning teams.
