Job Description

Job title: Subcontractor ManagerLocation: To cover the North East and Yorkshire & Humber RegionsSalary: £36,267.00 per annumWe pride ourselves on creating an environment that supports a healthy work life balance for all our staff. Aligned to this is our commitment to offering asector leading range of benefits including a generous holiday allowance of 30 days and 8 bank holidays, accredited training and development opportunities, a 6% matched pension scheme and additional voluntary money saving benefits.Our Subcontractor Manager will play a key role in managing the Education Development Trusts independent Subcontractor Network for delivery of the National Careers Service contract; to realise performance objectives for all appropriate contracts through intelligentmanagement of subcontractor delivery and associated support.We are looking for someone with an understanding of and a commitment to equality of opportunity for all, someone who could provide expert advice and information about all aspects of subcontract implementation.You will have the following skills:

  • Commercially astute with advanced influencing and negotiation skills and experience including differing contracting models and knowledge of contractual terms
  • Gravitas and communication skills to operate and collaborate at senior levels internally, with stakeholders, partners and subcontractors;
  • Ability to simplify ambiguity and give clear direction
  • Able to utilise a range of analytical tools and resources for effective decision making;
  • Effective IT skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
