The strategy team lies at the heart of the council so you will need to work collaboratively with a broad range of internaland external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and innovative thinking in a fast-paced environment.In this role, you will support the development of evidence-led policies and strategies that provide value for money and improve outcomes for residents.You will research, identify and analyse emerging issues and requirements locally, regionally and nationally that will have an impact on the council, partners and residents. You will also provide policy advice and briefings to the corporate and political leadership- so an understanding of the local and national policy agenda and the implications for the council, partners and residents is important.You will need to demonstrate an ability to think strategically, to develop policy and strategy, and have experience of progressingcomplex and ambiguous ideas into something more concrete.
