Job Description

NORTH EAST (Ref 617) PermanentFrom £40k + benefits + 1pm finish Friday!We are delighted to be working with our client, a global manufacturing business, north of Newcastle. Employee engagement is key to their success, alongside a strong focus on Wellbeing and EDI.With a superb HR Manager leading the team, this is an opportunity to support the business on all generalist HR activity, while also working on interesting projects.Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support to the business on all employee relations matters
  • Facilitate the management team to bring the best solutions for employee retention and development
  • Support the Management Team to identify key job positions and create succession plans
  • Provide support and guidance to Managers on HR and organisation development issues
  • Manage the annual training and development plan and budget and ensure that evaluation of training is carried out and reviewed
  • Play a major role in ensuring that all employees are kept up-to-date with relevant information in a timely manner through such mediums as team briefs and employee meetings
  • Identify & drive continuous improvements within the Human Resource area
  • Monitor and advise on absence management
  • Offer employee counselling & support where appropriate
  • Manage changes in terms and conditions of employment and benefits for individual employees
  • Support the sites’ Employee Engagement programme
  • Manage the appraisals process
  • Manage the recruitment process - selection, offers of employment through to induction
  • Manage the leavers’ process.
  • Manage the monthly KPI’s
  • Liaise with an Occupational Health Advisor for medical examinations and health screening, as part of a wellbeing programme
  • Develop Round Table meetings - to be held monthly with office and shop floor employees
Core Requirements
  • CIPD qualified to Level 5
  • Experience of resolving complex casework problems
  • Strong employee relations background
  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
