Job Description

My client based in the North East, are a Software as a Service (SaaS) business currently building an innovative proposition for the UK Financial Services sector. They are offering remote working, with the requirement to come in office 1 day per quarter (4times per year).Responsibilities

  • Hands on development; your typical days will consist of coding, code reviews, and design / implementation architecture while adhering to the constraints defined by the technical architect.
  • Support other developers & architects in the development of enterprise software solutions across various industries and clients
  • Write quality, performant well composed code for on-time, on-budget deployment per project management schedules
  • Work with the whole team to ensure our clients product meets their standards for enterprise software applications
  • Display company values including openness, honesty, integrity, respect and fairness
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (in no particular order)
  • 5+ years experience with .NET MVC development and C#
  • Substantial experience using Microsoft Visual Studio 2013+
  • Substantial experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012+
  • Substantial Experience with client side JavaScript
  • Substantial Experience with Microsoft Entity Framework and LINQ
  • Good experience of HTML and CSS
  • Experience with source control and continuous integration using TFS / VSTS or similar.
  • Expert understanding of OOP principles and design patterns
  • Experience of Test Driven Development and Unit Testing
  • Full lifecycle experience
  • Good understanding of AGILE methodologies
  • Superb communications skills and great team player
DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (in no particular order)
  • Experience with client side JavaScript including MVVM frameworks such as knockout, angular or similar
  • Experience with Entity Framework 6 Code First
  • Knowledge of performance profiling and optimisation
  • Experience of JavaScript AMD modules, Webpack and requireJS
  • Experience with Web Sockets and technologies such as SignalR
  • Experience in cloud computing using Microsoft Azure
  • Experience of distributed caching and web optimisation
  • Understanding of agile methodologies
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
