THE BUSINESSWe are supporting a major construction company, that oversees and manages multi-million pound projects. They are new to Teesside but have a long and successful history of managing projects based all over the world.They are extremely excited to be basing themselves on Teesside, where theres so much excitement about the development and investment thats coming in to the region. They have moved here specifically due to a high-profile project theyre involved with andthe future opportunities for them are absolutely unbelievable!THE ROLEMonitor and administer the QA/QC Plan or Programme and ensure the materials on site are in compliance with the approved engineering submittals and specificationsEnsure that the work is performed as required by the Contract and meets the required quality criteriaEnsure the acceptable quality of materials, processes, and workmanship in the site worksProvide assistance to Quality Assurance and Quality Control Engineer such as by checking if steel reinforcements are as perapproved engineering submittals and specificationsIssue reports of materials delivery/receiptsInspect concreting works, slump test and cubes preparation for the compressive test in the presence of the Engineer or ConsultantInspect Finishing works to include masonry works, plastering, painting, tiling, kitchen cabinets, joinery, ceiling and light fittings in the presence of the Engineer or Consultant,Maintain standards of safety and comply with Companys Health, Safety and Environment Management System requirementsFollow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirementTHE PERSONEssential criteria for the role are as follows:
  • B.S in Civil Engineering or associate engineering science
  • Over 5 years experience in QA/QC of building/ construction sector
