Job Description

The Company:

  • This company is one of the leading global manufacturers in the world with a strong range of Hydraulics for Industrial and Mobile applications.
  • Operating within the Industrial, Mobile and Oil & Gas Industries in the UK and internationally.
  • Relationships in place with key customers already.
  • Part of a wider engineering business.
  • Experts in hydraulics for both Industrial and Mobile applications.
The Role:
  • As the Project ManagerIndustrial Hydraulics you will be mainly handling "Engineer to order" Industrial Hydraulic Projects - bespoke work based on specific customer requirements.
  • You will be involved in leading on the projects from agreement until completion (possibly involved in the quoting stage but often from order won).
  • Dealing with Industrial Hydraulics - mainly Hydraulic Power Units - Reservoirs to hold the oil with a motor and pump top drive the system, various valves, connectors and fittings that can then pass through Hydraulic Cylinders etc.. they can also providethe electronic Control Units.
  • Working across the Civils, Defence, MOD, Steel Works, Materials Handling, Mining, Quarrying, RNLI, Bridges etc...
  • Orders can be from £100k - £3million.
  • You will be targeted on KPIs, project turnaround, time scales, budgets etc
  • Will need to be happy to travel across the UK when required for site visits, day trips and occasionally may need to spend up to 2 weeks solidly on site with customers to finalise project completion.
  • Will be office based in Wakefield when not travelling.
  • £50k basic salary, up to 8% company bonus, 2.7% guaranteed holiday bonus, Death in Service, Income Protection, 26 days holiday + bank holidays, Pension, Laptop, Mobile.
The Ideal Person:
  • As the Project ManagerIndustrial Hydraulics you will need to be a strong Project Manager and able to manage other peoples workloads as well as different stakeholders.
  • Able to understand large projects and estimate costs.
  • A1 would be a Project Manager from within Industrial Hydraulics - Also consider from general Hydraulics or a Project Manager from Engineering.
  • Consider from Mechanical but also Electrical or Electronic Engineering background. Ideally you will have an engineering and or project management quailification.
  • May consider someone from Sales who wants to do Project Management or maybe a Project Engineer ready to take the step up.
