Job Description

HOME BASED (Ref 627) Permanent Up to circa £55k25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + 3 days for ChristmasWe are excited to partner with our client, a leading business in their field. This is a newly created role, reporting to the People Director and leading a small team.The People and Culture Manager role is a hands-on operational role that also influences the people strategy and takes the lead on delivering strategic people projects. Building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, the role will be involved ina breadth of HR activity from supporting, influencing and coaching managers on day to day people matters, through to taking ownership and leading on projects and initiatives to drive employee engagement and culture such as health, safety and wellbeing, diversityand inclusion, internal communications and performance management.This includes

  • Provide advice, guidance and coaching to managers including absence, performance and ER issues, in line with employment legislation and company policy and procedure
  • Partner with the Senior Leadership Team (Heads of Department) to support with delivery of their business plans and to work collaboratively on solutions to their people challenges
  • Proactively manage sickness absence across the business
  • Continuous review and updating of HR policies
  • Lead on business changes e.g., departmental reorganisations and restructures
  • Support the Recruitment Advisor to design a best-in-class talent attraction strategy and EVP and an excellent candidate experience
  • Design and deliver Management essentials’ training to upskill managers and design accompanying manager toolkits
  • Develop and deliver an annual wellbeing plan; planning an annual calendar of campaigns to engage employees to improve wellbeing
  • Lead the mental health first aiders and wellbeing champions
  • Support with Strategic Workforce Planning; identifying training and development needs in the organisation and design, develop and deliver an annual training plan
  • Lead the delivery of the diversity strategy and action plan and measuring success
  • Manage external relationships to maximise opportunity e.g., Disability confident, Tech Talent Charter, Menopause Friendly Accreditation, Clear Assured Inclusion Standard
  • Work with the People Director on internal comms strategy and annual internal comms plan
  • Co-chair the Employee Voice Forum
  • Develop you team; coach and grow the team, motivating and inspiring them to deliver their best, enabling them to achieve high levels of performance, engagement, and wellbeing, managing and leading in line with policies, procedures and frameworks
  • Ensure that a customer-first mindset is embedded across the team
Experience required
