Job Description

Our client is a large engineering company based in South Tyneside. They have a newly created role in the HR team as a HR Coordinator. This role will be a busy and hands on generalist role. It is also a brilliant development role for an experienced HR Assistant/coordinatorlooking to take the next step in their career.This role will give you the opportunity to grow and develop on your current skills as well as take on new opportunities within HR advisory and employee relations.As an integral part of the Human Resources department, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and ensuring the smooth flow of day-to-day operations.You will ensure that the HR processes are efficient, employees are supported, and the workplace is conducive to growth and collaboration.

  • Data validation and input
  • Writing basic work instructions for new tasks
  • Carrying out pre-employment checks
  • Being a first point of contact for general HR queries, providing high-quality, effective, and consistent advice and guidance to the wider business
  • Providing support with day-to-day operational and transactional HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, wellbeing and compliance
  • Supporting and coaching managers on HR issues ensuring compliance to policies, procedures, and Employment Law.
  • Issuing offer letters
  • To prepare and issue written correspondence in relation to disciplinary and grievance cases and be active in dealing with process stages where and when required.
  • Advising and supporting managers on recruitment and selection processes collaboratively alongside our Recruitment Manager.
  • Ensure employees are onboarded positively and effectively.
Salary - £25,000-30,000 depending on experience.Hybrid - 4 days office / 1 day home working25 days holiday + bank holidays
