The Palace Theatre and Opera House are stunning, large-scale historic theatres located at the heart of Manchester city centre, welcoming thousands of visitors to an enormous variety of shows each year. As our new Head of Maintenance & Facilities, youllhelp us ensure our buildings are kept to the highest standards, creating a welcoming and safe environment for our customers, colleagues and visitors.In this senior role youll be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the buildings, including interiorand exterior, plant and machinery, any capital improvement projects arising and take the lead on any safety matters relating to the building. Youll be responsible for the Maintenance Managers and Assistants, so as well as practical ability youll need greatpeople skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team. The Palace and Opera House host work from leading UK and internationalproducers enabling the most spectacular West End and Broadway shows to visit the North West alongside drama, classical and contemporary dance, live music, comedy and one-night specials. The theatres host around 650 performances each year, with longer runsof major musicals mixed with week-long tours and one-night shows. We work increasingly in partnership with producers to open new shows or launch national tours.
