About the roleJob title: ESF North East Ambition Contract ManagerLocation: Team Valley and covering across the North East (Newcastle, Gateshead, Durham, Sunderland, South Shields, Newton Aycliffe, Bishop Auckland, Hexham, Cramlington, Alnwick and Berwick-upon-TweedSalary: £40,495 + £4500 Car AllowanceWe are recruiting an ESF Contract Manager for a brand new programme at Education Development Trust called North East Ambition.What is North East Ambition The North East Ambition programme is designed to support SMEs and micro businesses across the North East link more effectively with local and national skills initiatives. The programme is a partnership between Education Development Trust and the North East Local Enterprise Partnership, building upon NELEP’s successful North East Ambition pilot. The North East Ambition programme is a European Social Fund match funded programme that runs from December 2020 - December 2023.The Contract Manager will play a key role in defining the strategic direction of the ESF North East Ambition Project through the North East Ambition team operating across the North East Combined Authority region.Delivering the Project’s objectives through utilisation of our careers resources and infrastructure to improve the opportunities to provide placements, work experience and higher-level apprenticeships within SMEs and micro businesses, and build the capacity and infrastructure of SMEs and micro businesses to create such opportunities in the North East region.Person specification:KnowledgeEssential:
