Job Description

My client is an award-winning architectural organisation specialising in high-end projects including commercial and residential projects throughout the UK and internationally. Their aspiring plans include continued aggressive growth and to drive the executionof their strategy they are recruiting for a newly created Director of Operations role.Job Description

  • Manage the day-to-day operational activities across the business
  • Driving growth and profitability
  • Review existing operations and identify areas for development and growth
  • Streamline processes, ensuring efficiency and cost reduction
  • Identify and qualify potential new revenue generating activities to compliment existing services
  • Comfortable in the numbers’ with responsibility for company-wide budgeting and forecasting
  • Build and develop the team including the creation of an in-house Finance function
  • Lead on the formation of a profit share scheme and EMI-type share model to incentivise and tie in’ employees
Person Specification
  • You must have worked in fast moving, high growth entrepreneurial environments with SME experience
  • Blend of hands-on operational and strategic experience
  • Professional services background, such as Construction, Architectural, Finance, Legal etc.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture’ and contribute toward its success on a daily basis
  • Aspirations of stepping into an MD type role over time
  • Ability to communicate effectively and convincingly across a variety of stakeholders at all levels
