This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join the Digitisation team within the Editorial Department at Adam Matthew Digital, a fast-paced, creative, and innovative digital publisher.Working within a dynamic and growing team, youll play a key rolein this core strategic area of the business, supporting the development and implementation of the digitisation strategy across Adam Matthews award-winning portfolio of primary source collections. This will include close collaboration with project managerson active and upcoming digitisation projects, ensuring the highest standards are met for the unique and precious archival material at the heart of our products. Maintaining and nurturing excellence in relationships across our supplier base and managing coreprocurement activity is also a crucial part of the role.You will have experience in cultural heritage, archival digitisation practices or supplier management and procurement processes. Ideally, youll also have a passion for the humanities, publishing, libraryscience or related fields.What youll do: Provide digitisation support and guidance to the Editorial team Oversee and monitor progress of all active digitisation projects Liaise with archives, where required, to discuss the digitisation process Manage theRFP process and strategy with digitisation suppliers Report on expenditure and supplier performance Support contract management across the supplier base Conduct project debrief analysis and identify process improvements Support the SRM strategy to generatevalue and innovation from suppliers Create best practice documentation and lead relevant training sessions Build knowledge of all types of heritage materials and digitisation approaches Keep abreast of developments within the cultural heritage digitisationfieldSkills youll need: Strong communication and negotiation skills Excellent analytical and organisational abilities Experience in relationship building/management Understanding of budget management and forecasting Commercial acumen and confident decision-makingAbility to problem-solve and think creativelyThis role is based on a hybrid work model, which combines working from the office and from home.About Adam Matthew DigitalAdam Matthew Digital is an academic publisher based in the United Kingdom and the UnitedStates and is an independent subsidiary of SAGE Publishing.Being a market leader with a reputation for excellence, we search for exceptional candidates who share our passion and commitment.
