Medacs Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Locum Consultant in Gastroenterology role based in North East England.Salary package: £93,666 to £126,281 per annum depending on experience for 10 PAs plus relocation package up to £8,000 which includes 3 months rentContract type: Fixed term for 12 months (NHS Locum Consultant)The postholder will be expected to undertake clinical work in conjunction with their colleagues and other professional staff in order to maintain and develop Gastroenterology Services and specialist skills in accordance with the needs of the department.He/she will be responsible in conjunction with colleagues for planning future developments of these services.The Trust is one of the largest integrated organisations in the country, providing hospital and community services to a population of over 650,000.The basic contract is for 10 programmed activities (PAs), with elective outpatient work, endoscopy, and inpatient care. At the present, there will be a 1:5 Ward commitment to cover in patient activity on the gastroenterology ward during which time all electivecommitments are cancelled.The Trust is looking for individuals who would be interested to complement their existing strengths in providing a high-quality Gastroenterology Service together with education, research and training and also strengthen their commitment to provide a 7-dayGI Service to our Acute Hospitals.They will encourage development of sub-speciality interests to complement those that already exist in the Division and offer flexibility in our approach to applicants with specialist interests.The Trust would particularly welcome individuals with interests in ERCP/EUS, Nutrition, IBD and Liver Disease, but all subspecialty interests are welcome. The posts are tenable on a whole time or part time basis with the department willing to explore flexibilityin job plans to attract the right candidate.There will no commitment to G(I)M rota.Requirements:
