Job Description

About the roleJob title: Career Guidance Assessor/Trainer Location: Any regional office (Gateshead or Sheffield)Salary: £30,230 FTEThis is a full time role (however we can consider part time hours, 22 being the minimum)Benefits: A generous holiday allowance (30 days & bank holidays), a 6% matched pension scheme, excellent training and development opportunities, and family friendly policies to support flexible working. We also offer a suite of voluntarybenefits including a health cash plan, ride to work scheme, and retail discounts.In addition, we offer excellent training and family friendly policies to support flexible working and a range of health and discount benefits.This role will have the remit to cover the NCS contract areas in the North of England (Sheffield & Gateshead), therefore travel will be required.The post holder will be responsible for a caseload of candidates, delivering teaching and learning sessions and carrying out competence-based assessments against National Occupational Standards, ensuring timely achievement of qualifications.We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Will have a recognised assessor qualification (D32/D33, A1 or TAQA)
  • Will have a level 6 careers guidance qualification
  • Will be occupationally competent in the units they are assessing.
  • Knowledge of the current NOS (national occupational standards) for careers guidance qualifications
  • Will have working experience of the delivery of career guidance
  • Will have experience of assessing competence-based qualifications
