Job Description

Do you have experience conducting business analysis across multiple projectsAs a Business Analyst you will be a key member of a multi-skilled, solution focused product team.You will be shaping and prioritising new initiatives and changes aligned to agile delivery principles, as well as forming deep product knowledge in the prop tech space.You will work with the Product Manager, Software Project Manager, Software Developers, and a range of Business Stakeholders to define and support the development and delivery of innovation for the Group.Office working in Newcastle and remote working are available.You will have experience of conducting business analysis across multiple projects simultaneously using a variety of methodologies e.g. agile/SCRUM. You will ensure process maps and business requirements are elicited collaboratively, documented, agreed formally,and owned by you throughout the project lifecycle to ensure project delivery is in line with customer expectation.The successful candidate will work directly with the Product Manager to form strategies to deliver change and innovation programmes that deliver to the businesses vision and stated objectives.Key responsibilities will include:

• Transform business scenarios into useful solutions that are easy and efficient to use, meeting the exact needs of the user
• Develop an efficient Discovery process that successfully elicits what a project wants to deliver and explicitly states what the business & customer benefits of the project will be as well as supporting/ inputting into the definition of the scope/ MVPto produce business capabilities for the project
• Work with the Product Manager, Product Owner(s), and business SMEs to create high level docs, process flows etc.
• Use your knowledge to define and create user stories that enables engagement with software development and testing teams
• Work with dev teams to elaborate stories, answer questions/ provide relevant information and generally transfer knowledge for what needs to be delivered
• Provide ongoing support throughout development cycles/sprints/pre and post deploy
• Establish and maintain key relationships with key business stakeholders (internally and externally)
• Use all appropriate means to gather a thorough understanding of the business requirements and priorities
• Review and understand existing processes and procedures and provide improvement solutions
• Investigate operational needs or problems and assist in the recommendation of service improvement and business solutions
• Identify, assess, and evaluate processes against business needs
• Creating consistent processes in collaboration with relevant teams

About you:

• Experience working as a BA, ideally on software/SaaS delivery projects or programmes
• A track record of doing analysis in projects that were delivered using waterfall, agile and hybrid methodologies
• Ability to communicate effectively & influence at all levels with excellent written and verbal communication
• Problem solving and business analysis skills/techniques
• Experience of working with MS Visio or other process modelling software
• Excellent skills in MS-Office products
• Business analysis qualifications (BCS or equivalent)
• Understanding of product development and management in an agile environment
• Analytical skills - possessing the ability to break down and take apart a particular idea or solution, selecting the best solution, and then presenting your selection in detail
• High attention to detail
• Experience of managing change initiatives, either as Project Manager or work stream lead

Desirable criteria:

• Significant experience working as a BA, ideally on software/SaaS delivery projects or programmes
• Professional BA qualification
• Experience with Jira or equivalent
