Passionate about inspiring young people Join us at Harris Academy Sutton.Harris Academy Sutton is currently looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor and Behaviour Administration Officer to join the team of specialists.Your opportunityYour role will encompassresponsibilities relating to Behaviour for Learning, management of the room in the Reflection unit and managing attendance and punctuality, including: Ensuring for the calm and purposeful entrance and exit of students into/out of the academy and around theacademy between lessons Managing detentions every afternoon Acting as the liaison between the academy and the local community (including the Police) for any aspect of behaviour issues arising during the academy day Ensuring that follow up action is taken forstudents failing to meet academy standards particularly outside lessons Designing and delivering, in consultation with the academy Leadership Group, a variety of agreed enrichment and sporting activities Following through any issues to do with behaviour asrequired by the academy Leadership Group Mentoring students on PSPs Supervising students internally excluded Liaising with the AP for behaviour to deliver the curriculum offer for the students attending the exclusion centre and the re-integration back intomainstream lessons Liaising with teaching staff to ensure appropriate work is set and appropriate provision is in place Liaising with parents/ carers and relevant APs and subject staff to ensure smooth transition to and from internal exclusion Following upon any truancy or attendance concerns; Reducing potential permanent exclusion by offering an alternative curriculum which includes rigorous behaviour for learning interventionAs part of Harris, you will join a community of staff dedicated to transforming educationin London.
