Youll be responsible for route planning across our UK network along with supervising our team of drivers. Youll ensure that our transport departmentruns in an efficient and effective manner at all times. Youll work on a MondayFriday basis on a rotating 0600 -15.00/1400 -2300 patternPay, benefits and more:Were looking to offer a salary up to £33,000per year, depending on experience. In addition, we offer 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), as well as access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension,and many other perks.What youll do on a typical day:

  • Planning the workload of 20+ drivers
  • Manage the day to day transport operation including briefing and debriefing drivers, monitor drivers hours ensuring legal compliance is maintained,
  • Manage the Service and maintenance requirements for our fleet
  • You will deal with customer issues and monitor drivers progress, updating the customers as required
What you need to succeed at GXO
  • Experience of working in a transport environment
  • Knowledge of transport legislation, driver hours and tachograph
  • Computer literate (Strong excel, word & e-mail)
  • Customer Service background ideally with exposure to Warehouse Management Systems
  • Excellent people skillsteam player
  • Strong communicator both written and verbal with attention to detail
  • National / International CPC would be advantageous, but not essential.
