Night Shift Operations Manager £40,000NorfolkWe are recruiting for an FMCG business in Norfolk who are rapidly expanding and looking to bring in a Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the nightshift for the warehousing functions of their business. You will have overall shift responsibility for all inbound and outbound warehousing operations including goods-in, picking, packing, despatch, returns, resource planning, stock control, warehouse management systems and HSQE.You should have previous warehousing experience and ideally should have managed teams in excess of 50 operatives. We are looking for a down-to-earth warehouse professionals with a deep appreciation of the importance of quality and an impressive customer experience.Essentially, you will have a track record managing a developing teams in a dynamic warehousing operation. We seek a leaders with the gravitas needed to gain respect from a multi-disciplined work-force working across multiple shifts. You will be responsible for developing and coaching Shift Managers and Team Leaders ensuring that they deliver effective people management and develop their teams to their full potential whilst building a team based culture and promoting an ethos of Continuous Improvement. You will need to be a commercially astute and a highly analytically minded individual who is capable of planning cost effective and KPI driven operations. You will be a strong team player and have the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the senior management team to utilise resources in an effective and efficient manner in order to avoid unnecessary delays and/or costs. This is a sector that can be affected by seasonal/promotional fluctuations and you will need to ensure that you and your teams can respond accordingly to meet demand. It is essential that you are highly organised, customer facing and an excellent communicator across all levels. Good IT skills are also needed including experience of working with modern-day Warehouse Management Systems. A good understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques is also to be expected.These will be challenging but invigorating roles and success within them could lead to career development opportunities with this leading organisation.
